a snowy day...
bbbrrrrrrr.....sums up the day!
It's a great day for... a soul warming lunch, and I have the best ever!
Yes, more Trader Joe's love! This soup is so GOOD!
It is my favorite Trader Joe's item!!!!!
It is creamy, not overly tomato-ie,
and it warms you up the whole way down!
I paired it up with this dip, along with some wheat thins.
This dip is not for the faint of heart. It has a VERY strong blue cheese taste!
I find it so yummy! A perfect snowy day meal!!!
I've been spending some quality time on ebay searching for vintage treasures.
Most treasures are to expensive.....shipping is ridiculous!
I did however stumble on these.... I paid 99 cents for 17 plates - plus $10.00 shipping.
They are Universal Pottery salesman samples; the fascination series. They are 3" diameter.
I love the patterns, especially the flora!
Have a great snow day!
I am off to snuggle in my bed with a good book!

Sea Smoke
I must say that one of the more beautiful sights here on Higgins Beach is the sea smoke.
It is quite dramatic to see, and to feel, because sea smoke is visible when it is terribly cold outside.
This morning it was a balmy 2 degrees. Sea smoke is cause by the ocean water being considerably warmer than the air. Regardless of the frigidity, Ollie and I trotted down the shore to take these photos to share.
I also wanted to share some more fabulous Christmas gifts that I was quite lucky to receive.
They are from Kirsten, who has an equally strong love for Anthropologie, as I do.
Sometimes I feel bad for Kirsten, because I always say stuff like this to her...
"no pressure, but we get so excited when you presents come, because they are always so cool!"
She never disappoints, and I felt quite spoiled this year!
I did a bit more thrift-ing on Thursday and found these 2 pairs of shoes.
The best thing about gently used shoes are...
THAT THEY ARE ALREADY BROKEN IN!
Have a fabulous day!

summer time flies!!!!
so, I spent every possible day at the beach, which was a lot!
It was a beautiful summer!
Loads of new things happening......
It was "the boys" first day of 3rd grade.
we had a heat wave....95 degrees!!!!! super hot.
I have new classroom at SMCC
we went out to dinner at the Snow Squall to celebrate the last day of summer vacation.
The food was yummy, and the music great! Support your local restaurants!!!!!
Ivan brought a date...Miss Mayne. hee hee!
One of the best part of starting a new term at school is....
aren't they great! they are actually cream (they look white in the photo)and olive..... so I figure I can wear them this fall....they were 60% off!!!! which was great because they were originally $115.00
Yikes....but they feel just like heaven when you have them on!
